About the Doctors

 

 Dr. Mark Krause and Dr. Jerry Krause are dentists in Salisbury, MD who provide pediatric dental care, and early childhood orthodontics.

Dr. Jerry Krause – Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Jerry Krause received his dental degree from the University of Maryland in 1971. Following a one-year internship, he completed a two-year Pediatric Dental residency at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY. He then served as a major in the U.S. Army treating children of the army personnel. He has extensive training in treating orthodontic problems at an early age.

 Dr. Krause is a member of such prestigious organizations as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Gnathos Orthodontic Study Club and the Eastern Shore Dental Society (past-president).

 He is active in his community, supporting various organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the Joseph House, the Autistic Society and many other local charities, schools and sports teams. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Village of Hope. He and his wife, Joan, have three grown children and one granddaughter. Dr. Krause’s favorite pastimes include traveling, art, sports and going to the beach.

Mark Krause, D.D.S.

 

Dr. Mark Krause received his undergraduate degree from Salisbury University and received his D.D.S. from Howard University College of Dentistry and completed a two-year General Practice residency program at Eastman Dental Center, University of Rochester, New York. Dr. Mark’s residency program emphasized pediatric dental care and hospital dentistry. Dr. Mark is also taking additional training in orthodontics for the growing child.

To stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, Dr. Krause maintains memberships with numerous prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (affiliate member), Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Gnathos Orthodontic Study Club, and the Eastern Shore Dental Society.  Dr. Mark was recently granted courtesy staff membership with clinical privileges in the department of surgery, division of oral and maxiofacial surgery at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. 

He and his wife, Kara Williams Krause, enjoy music, outdoor activities, going to the beach, traveling, playing tennis, hiking and biking during their leisure time.
